Wipro Technologies' MBOA MAC core is designed
for applications that target the Ultra WideBand
space. It can achieve a throughput of 480 Mbps
at MAC-PHY layer level and is scalable to achieve
1 Gbps throughput. It provides features for Security,
different types of Acknowledgement schemes, power
save mode. It has support for Wireless USB also.
It is easily customizable to different types of
host interface. The time critical functionalities
are implemented in hardware while the control
functionalities are implemented in firmware. This
provides the flexibility to customize the solution
to specific applications without a hardware revision.
Together with Wipro's complementary IPs, the MBOA
MAC IP provides a complete solution for implementing
Wireless USB and Wireless 1394.
