The challenge
The client required a VideoPhone SoC to be developed in a specified time frame while realizing cost benefits.

The solution
Wipro’s USB 1.1 Device Core was licensed to the customer. This core is to be used for dual mode of operation; both as a Host and Device. Also, USB 1.1 OTG software drivers provided with the core. Lastly customization was done to support the DMA interface as well as the AHB interface.

The benefits
The customer received a critical component for the Videophone SoC at a much reduced cost compared to an in-house development. Thus, the customer could not only crash its time to market for the product, it could do so at a reduced cost.
