| Traditionally,
managing storage devices has been through disparate
mechanisms like Proprietary vendor APIs, CLI commands,
SNMP, http and message passing mechanisms. These
have resulted in lot of issues like: Storage administrator
spends huge effort in managing multiple devices
in the network, inter-operability issues, reduction
in the multi-vendor support in data center, enterprises,
etc.
SNIA has formalized the Storage Management Initiative
- Standard to alleviate this problem. Wipro’s
has developed a framework - FlexiSAM, which provides
a range of solutions to enable Storage Devices
and Storage Management Applications to be SMI-S
compliant. The FlexiSAM solution makes use of
the vast experience and capabilities of Wipro’s
consultants in the Storage Technologies domain.
