System-On-Chips (SoCs) have become a mainstay
of today's complex design needs that need very
high integration and lower total cost and higher
reliability of the end product. SoC designs are
very common for a variety of networking devices
and are also very popular in the mobile/PDA/handheld
devices.
Wipro has been designing and developing software
for complex SoCs including multi-processor core
designs, a plethora of peripherals and complex
bus architectures. We have successfully taped
out several SoCs after complete verification with
operating software in the pre-silicon environment.
We have invested in tools such as Seamless that
provide a good platform for co-verification before
the tape-out. Wipro has excellent experience in
ARM based SoC verification. We have a good understanding
of the other tools such as ARMulator to do performance
modeling of the entire system and to conduct simulation
runs to understand the processing power required.
These inputs are used to guide the architecture
discussions and to estimate size of the caches,
the bus architecture, interrupt and DMA schemes.
We provide excellent design experience for both
pre and post silicon software development.
