a leading software vendor |

| The client |
| A leading vendor
of enterprise application, infrastructure and productivity
software |
| |
| The challenge |
| The client wanted
to demonstrate the benefit of migrating to its database
platform. To do this, it needed to develop a compelling
financial justification for the migration |
| |
| The solution |
| Wipro gathered data
on database migrations by interviewing firms that
had recently migrated to the client's database platform
from a competitor's for ERP environments. This data
was analyzed and synthesized to develop an aggregate
business case analyzing the costs and benefits of
migrating to the client's database solution. |
| |
| The results |
| The study found
that on-going support costs for the client's platform
was significantly cheaper than that of the competitors.
The analysis showed a $400,000 savings for firms
that migrated their ERP environments to the clients
database platform, representing an internal rate
of return of 60% on the cost of the migration. |
