The Continental Automated Buildings Association (CABA) is not for profit industry association that promotes advanced technologies for automation of Homes and Buildings in North America. Wipro is an active member of this marketing forum

 
PacketCable (www.packetcable.com) is a technology development initiative from Cablelabs (www.cablelabs.com). The Focus of PacketCable is to develop and deploy reliable and interoperable standards for Voice Over Cable. Wipro contributes to the PacketCable initiative very actively. Wipro is been a IPR signee member of PacketCable since 1998 and is one of the world's first companies to sign the IPR with Cablelabs

 
OpenCable (www.opencable.com) is a technology development intiative from Cablelabs (www.cablelabs.com). The Focus of OpenCable is to develop and deploy open standards/specifications for Digital Settop Boxes and digital interactive consumer devices that should be available to consumers through retail channels. Wipro is a NDA signee member of OpenCable intiative.

 
CableHome ( www.cablelabs.com/cablehome ) is a technology development initiative from Cablelabs (www.cablelabs.com ) developing the interface specifications necessary to extend high-quality cable-based services to network devices within the home. Working with technology suppliers, the CableHome team will address issues such as device interoperability, QoS (Quality of Service), and network management. Wipro is a IPR signee member of the CableHome initiative and contributes actively.
   

The Universal Plug and Play Forum (www.upnp.org) is a group of companies who intend to play a leading role in the authoring of specifications for Universal Plug and Play devices and services. Formed in June 1999, it is an association of over 400 consumer electronics, computing, home automation and security, home appliance, computer networking and other leading companies. Wipro is a active and contributing member of UPnP forum.


Wipro is a member of the UPnP Implementer Corporation (www.upnp-ic.org) and is currently performing the compliance tests of its UPnP stack using the test suites from UPnP IC. Wipro would go for the UPnP certification of it's solution in the next quarter.

The OFDM Forum (www.ofdm-forum.com) is a voluntary association of hardware manufacturers, software firms and other users of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) technology in wireless applications. The Forum has been tasked to address such issues as interoperability between market segments, harmonized standards and spectrum allocations, among other issues. Wipro is a active member of OFDM Forum


The Wireless LAN Association (www.wlana.com) is a non-profit educational trade association, comprised of the thought leaders and technology innovators in the local area wireless technology industry. Through the vast knowledge and experience of Sponsor and Affiliate members, WLANA provides a clearinghouse of information about wireless local area applications, issues and trends. Wipro is a active member of WLANA Forum


USB Implementer's Forum (www.usb.org ) is a non-profit corporation founded by the group of companies that developed the Universal Serial Bus specification The Forum facilitates the development of high-quality compatible USB peripherals (devices), and promotes the benefits of USB and the quality of products that have passed compliance testing. Wipro is a active member of USB Implementer's Forum
   
The Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG), comprised of leaders in the telecommunications, computing, and network industries, is driving development of the technology and bringing it to market. The Bluetooth SIG includes promoter companies 3Com, Ericsson, IBM, Intel, Lucent, Microsoft, Motorola, Nokia and Toshiba, and more than 2000 Adopter/Associate member companies. Wipro is a active member of Bluetooth SIG
 


The 1394 Trade Association (www.1394ta.org )actively promotes the proliferation of the IEEE 1394 Serial Bus standard technology into the computer, consumer, peripheral, and industrial markets to enable a truly interoperable, standardized, universal I/O and back plane interconnect. Some of the best-known names in the 1394 TA membership are Sony, Intel, Microsoft, Texas Instruments, Philips, Apple, Yamaha, IBM, Matsushita, Compaq, NEC, Samsung etc.
 
The ELC (www.embedded-linux.org ) is a non-profit, vendor-neutral trade association whose goal is the advancement and promotion of Linux throughout the embedded, applied and appliance computing markets. By becoming a corporate member of ELC, Wipro has the ability of offer Embedded Linux based software ports, application and other software development tools in addition to its IP solutions.
