Digital Television is taking the world by storm.
All over the world there is an effort to convert
from the traditional analog broadcast standards
to digital so as to improve on picture quality,
increase the number of channels over existing
bandwidth, introduce interactivity, etc.
Wipro has indigenously developed re-use components
that could be used to develop complete solutions
for the Digital TV or STB market. Wipro has already
developed its own stacks for digital broadcast
standards, viz., ATSC, DVB, ARIB and OpenCable.
Some of the other components that Wipro as developed
for use in STB and DTV solutions are High Definition
Digital TV (HDTV), Personal Video Recorder (PVR),
Close caption, OSD, Tele text and CAS.
