The Client

The client is a large European telecom vendor.

The challenge

The client wanted to offshore the maintenance and enhancement activities on a broadband access server product in order to redeploy the existing team into other core activities.

Wipro solution

The Wipro team initially participated in the enhancement releases of the product onsite and later transferred the entire product offshore. The major contributions of the Wipro team are:

	Extensions of Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) for Multi Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) / Virtual Private Network (VPN) (RFC2547)
	Enhancement of Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) agent for the new features
