a leading US based DSLAM vendor.
The challenge
Keeping the changing
market scenario in mind, the client took a key business
decision to develop a Mini-DSLAM product supporting
Ethernet based DSL aggregation. The main challenge
herein was to provide high-speed broadband capability
for delivery of voice, data, and video services
over short copper loops. Wipro was chosen for the
complete product development including both hardware
and software components. Requirements included

of a low cost DSLAM without compensating on
market critical features and quality

Engineering
Requirement Specifications were generated
During the initial phase
of project, the team jointly worked with the
client to finalize the various software/hardware
components, tools and architecture design
Teams from Bangalore and
Chennai worked in parallel on hardware and
software architecture respectively thereby
developing a complete product
The System Integration
Test team generated the system test plan and
this was made available along with the architecture
documents
Software detail design
and hardware development are getting executed
in parallel. Wipro team has well understood
the technology and given solutions and suggestions
for better design
