with the development of the solution.
The Product – The Network Modeling Tool
models the entire network by uploading the network
configuration. The tool computes the routing tables,
checks for configuration integrity across devices
and provides pathing information between nodes.
The administrator can analyze the network behavior
off-line by changing the configuration in the
tool. An expert-system based Intelligent Engine
in the tool (if present) is capable of providing
alternate solutions for fixing problems in the
network.
A thorough knowledge engineering of the IPSec
VPN behavior was done by building an IPSec lab
to analyze the network behavior for different
possible configurations. A robust design was used
for implementing IPSec VPN feature so that the
existing functionality of the tool was maintained.
