As this was the first software project for this particular client, the biggest challenge for Wipro was to win client's confidence and show that Wipro can set-up an ODC and take complete ownership of the product.

The activities also included supporting end customers in troubleshooting from offshore. Our engineers also traveled to end customer's premises to identify their problems and provide support.

Wipro followed step-by-step approach for setting up ODC and taking up complete ownership. It started off with project scoping, studying the project on site, getting involved in development along with the client onsite and making a few releases from there. In parallel the offshore team was being prepared and mentored by the onsite team. Finally the offshore setup was done and the whole project was run offshore.
