| The client had objectives and
specifications as defined by the OEM. The client
required product specification to be done by Wipro.
Client also had a resource crunch and desired to
have the complete hardware and software architecture
to be designed by Wipro. |

| The solution |
| Wipro undertook
the entire project ranging from technology consultancy
to in-depth hardware and software architecture definition.
Wipro had extensive interaction with customer’s
personnel from various departments and an acceptable
requirement set was developed. Identification of
key system components for the instrument cluster,
central body electronics, HVAC and multimedia systems
was done by Wipro. System architecture was defined
by drawing up various alternatives. The different
in-vehicle networking alternatives were evaluated
based on the client’s requirement and the
most suitable one was selected. The hardware components
were identified by analyzing the I/O, MIPS and performance
requirements. Complete hardware architecture definition
was done by Wipro. Software architecture definition
including module partitioning, operating system
selection and memory requirements estimation was
done by Wipro’s automotive technology consultants
